Dreammaker Bath & Kitchen Franchise Owner Named To Remodeling Magazine’s “big 50”

WACO, TEXAS (Tuesday, May 10, 2005) - Remodeling Magazine's "Big 50," published in the May 2005 issue, has named Steve Buckner, franchise owner of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide®, in Amarillo, Texas, as one of the nation's best remodelers.

Sal Alfano, editor of Remodeling Magazine, has referred to the annual list as the companies that set the standard for excellence, leadership, professionalism, and integrity, regardless of company size.

A contractor for more than two decades with 10 years of experience in the remodeling business, Buckner decided to roll his company, Bucker Building Services, Inc., into a DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen franchise in 2002. The decision to join the kitchen and bath franchise network, which has approximately 190 locations in 11 countries, greatly sped up the growth and success of Buckner’s business while plugging him into a network of peers with stronger marketing and branding services and collective buying power from national vendors.

Bucker was named DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen’s Rookie of the Year in 2004. He also was named the 2004 Remodeler of the Year by the Texas Panhandle Builders Association.

“I could not be happier with the shape of my business and the level of services we are bringing to quality customers today,” Buckner said. “To be recognized on a national level for what we are doing in Amarillo is a great compliment to the team we have developed and the projects we have undertaken.”

The 2005 list marks the fifth time the DreamMaker name has appeared in the national ranking. DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen corporate was named previously, and franchise owners Paul Calafiore, Newington, Conn.; Lynn Monson, St. Louis Park, Minn.; and Mike Gervais, Burlington, Vt. have all won Big 50 honors in recent years. Shawn Kumar, a DreamMaker franchise owner in Brea, Calif., and Rich Maile, a DreamMaker franchise owner in Cincinnati, Ohio also won Big 50 honors as independent remodelers before joining the DreamMaker franchise system. Matthew Harrigan, franchise owner of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen in Los Gatos, Calif., was listed in the Big 50 for his Timeline Design business.
