Dreammaker Bath & Kitchen Franchise Receives 2005 Regional Coty Award

BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (Wednesday, May 18, 2005) - The Bakersfield, Calif. DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide® franchise, owned by Everett and Patty Gray, was recently awarded a regional 2005 Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for their remodel of a residential bathroom $30,000 to $60,000.

“It’s great to have a DreamMaker franchise recognized for this honor,” said Doug Dwyer, president and owner of DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen, based in Waco, Texas. “The Bakersfield DreamMaker team did an outstanding job converting a poorly designed bathroom into a beautiful, functional space.They really deserve this award.”

The Grays received their award at an Evening of Excellence ceremony held in Chicago, Ill. The event was attended by more than 300 industry professionals.

An impartial panel of judges, who are considered experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant's "Before and After" photography and project description. Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for the awards on an annual basis.

“In this bathroom remodel, we expanded a cramped layout and brightened the room by adding lots of glass accents and open space,” said Everett Gray. “We used design, construction and color schemes to make this a successful remodel for us and for our client.”
