Consumer spending is up.
Exports and imports are up
Business investment is up
Companies are hiring again: The US economy created nearly 900,000 jobs in the first four months of 2004. This kind of economic environment is a superb time to start a business-oriented franchise.

Consider, too, that according to studies conducted by the US Commerce Depart from 1971-1987…less than 5% of franchisees have been terminated on an annual basis--or 25% over a five-year period. Compare that statistic to the more than 80% failure rate associated with independently owned businesses!
