Stunning New Cardiff Hotel Opens As A Sell-out

CARDIFF, WALES (Tuesday, February 01, 2005) - The most stylish new hotel in Wales, the Park Plaza Cardiff, opened this month just in time for the Six Nations rugby match which saw Wales beat their long-running English rivals.

The four-star design-led 129-room hotel is the centrepiece of a £ 30m scheme known as the Greyfriars Development in Greyfriars Road, central Cardiff.

General Manager Hugh Hilary said, "The response has been incredible with advance bookings having exceeded our most optimistic projections and all available rooms sold for the opening weekend.
