Computer Troubleshooters Announces A Halloween Computer 'Horror' Story Contest
ATLANTA (Monday, October 23, 2000) -
Computer Troubleshooters, the world's largest computer service franchise, announced that it is conducting a Halloween Computer "Horror" story contest. The company is asking for people to visit www.comptroub.com/horror and complete the contest form describing their worst experience with a computer system. The computer horror story should be 500 words or less and the person with the best story (as judged by the Computer Troubleshooters management team) will be given a new 17" monitor. Runners up will receive gift certificates and other Computer Troubleshooters merchandise. "Everyone has computer horror stories, like the monitor that burst into flames or the printer that ate the company payroll checks," said Chip Reaves, Regional Director from Atlanta. "And we specialize in taking the `horror' out of computer usage. This contest seemed a great way to have some fun and promote our services."
The deadline for contest entry is November 15th. Both real and fictional stories will be accepted. The story winner and the top runners up will be listed on the Computer Troubleshooter's web site shortly after the deadline.
Computer Troubleshooters, based in Australia, is the world's largest computer service franchise with over 65 locations worldwide in eight countries. Computer Troubleshooters specializes in the small and home-based business market with unique service solutions. The franchise has recently entered the U.S. market with locations in Atlanta, Tampa, and Houston.
