Chester’s International, Llc Celebrates 40th Anniversary Of Serving Delicious Chicken Across America

Beloved Chester the Chicken Turns 40 and Invites Everyone to the Celebration with a Birthday Party and 40 Cent Chicken Tenders

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA (Friday, September 23, 2005) - Chester’s restaurants across the nation will be celebrating the 40th birthday of Chester the Chicken, and honoring Chester’s 40-year tradition of serving great tasting chicken to satisfied customers on October 14, 2005. Chester’s International, LLC is one of the nation's largest chicken restaurant chains with more than 1,700 locations worldwide.

In October 1965, company founder W.O Giles adopted Chester the Chicken as the emerging foodservice company’s mascot. In celebration of this anniversary, participating Chester’s restaurants will host a birthday party on Friday, October 14th for Chester and celebrate the loyalty of its customers. In conjunction with the birthday celebration, Chester’s will offer $0.40 chicken tenders to their customers exclusively on October 14th.

Giles. “This is not only a birthday for Chester, but a celebration of 40 years of serving great tasting chicken to millions of satisfied and loyal customers. This celebration is a way for all of us at Chester’s to express our thanks.”

“We also extend our thanks to all of the operators of Chester’s restaurants, who have made the last 40 years such a tremendous success,” added Mr. Giles.

The block party style celebration is open for all to attend. Chester’s 40th birthday will include meal deals and fun festivities at each location.

The 40th anniversary comes as Chester’s International implements an aggressive expansion program, in which the company is seeking to launch 500 new Chester’s franchises in the next five years.
