Katrina Update:

BATON ROUGE (Saturday, October 01, 2005) - There are lots of wonderful Cheeburger Cheeburger stories to tell about the Katrina Relief Effort.

Our Baton Rouge location, owned and operated by the Evans family, has been at the forefront of relief efforts. They have been helping people in need in all kinds of ways since the disaster occurred. One thing they did, was what they do best - they cooked great Cheeburger meals and brought them to a nearby shelter. Day-after-day, they were there lending a hand.

Harold Autry and Aaron Benjamin, owners and operators of our Annapolis and Rockville, Maryland locations, contributed $1,000. And Cheeburger Cheeburger locations from Maryland to Montgomery, from New York to Birmingham have had Katrina fund raisers.

In Livonia, Michigan, Brian and Laura Switalski are on the verge of opening their first Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurant. Their two younger daughters wanted to do something to help. So they baked this past weekend and went around selling cookies and muffins. The money they collected was used to purchase some stuffed animals, underwear, toothpaste, etc. which they just shipped out to Katrina victims.
