Bingo Business Antes Up $20,000 To Support Toys For Tots

FIFE (Saturday, December 17, 2005) - Customers and management at BJ’s Bingo in Fife have donated $20,000 to Toys for Tots.
Members of the U.S. Marines Corps took delivery Friday of several truckloads of toys and electronics goods bought over the past week from area Toys R Us and Costco stores.

“It’s a way we can give back to our community,” said organizer Shawn Juarez, a member of BJ’s founding Turnipseed family.

Hundreds of Bingo customers donated money to the effort, which began three weeks ago. A quarter of the total was donated by the company.

“We started out being a poor family. We know what it is to be with nothing. People need help,” Juarez said.
