Chef Jean Chen Joins Zyng Noodlery Culinary Team

ALEXANDRIA, VA AND MONTREAL, QC (Sunday, September 15, 2002) - Arnold M. Shostak, President and Chief Concept Officer of Zyng Noodlery, is pleased to announce that Chef Jean Chen, a specialist in Cantonese, Szechuanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines, has joined Zyng’s culinary team.

Chef Chen was born in Shanghai, China and currently lives in Montreal, Canada. He is a member of the faculty of the Académie Culinaire de Montréal (Culinary Academy of Montreal), heading its Asian department. At the Academy he also presents numerous courses on the cuisines of Asia. He is the author of several cookbooks on Asian cooking including “Les Délices de Jean Chen” (The Delicacies of Jean Chen).

Chef Chen is a well-known television personality on the Canadian French network. He also hosts gastronomic Asian banquets for small groups, leads Asian restaurant tours and, amongst his other interests and talents, he is a professional comedien! He speaks five languages – Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Vietnamese and French.

Chef Chen will be working with us to continually bring new dimensions to our exciting menu and will assist in the ongoing enhancement of operating procedures and plate presentation.

Chef Chen is most excited to join The Noodle People and we are most honored to have him as a member of the team!
