Beaner's Gourmet Coffee Prepares To Promote Its Blended Ice Drinks For Summer Months

LANSING, MICH. (Wednesday, June 01, 2005) - BEANER’S Gourmet Coffee prepares to promote its blended ice drinks for the summer season. The coffee house franchise has a well-rounded line-up that offers coffee, tea and fruit blended ice drinks. The promotion of the summer line-up, which includes the Fruizen-T, the Big Chill and the Creme Freeze, will begin this month with in-store displays, coupons and a billboard campaign.



The Fruizen-T is a granita beverage made from ice, green tea and natural fruit. The frozen beverage is served only in the summer months. Coupons and in-store displays will be used to make customers aware of the seasonal drink. These promotional items are expected to drive a 20 to 25 percent increase in Fruizen-T sales.



The Big Chill is the frozen version of BEANER’S specialty espresso beverages. The drink combines ice, freshly extracted espresso, vanilla base mix and sometimes a flavor and blends the ingredients together to create a fresh and smooth coffee drink. The Big Chill is offered in a variety of flavors: Original, Mocha, Caramel and Chai.



The Mocha Big Chill is one of BEANER’S most popular sellers. A billboard campaign featuring the Mocha Big Chill will be in effect June through August. A combination of hot weather and marketing is expected to increase Big Chill sales by at least 40 percent.



The Creme Freeze is a thick shake-like smoothie made from a blend of ice, fresh fruit, orange juice and vanilla base mix. The Creme Freeze is offered in Berry, Banana and Orange flavors. Hot weather, in-store displays and coupons will increase Creme Freeze sales by almost double.



BEANER’S has seen the benefits of carrying a selection of blended ice drinks. They appeal to a variety of customers and each year they have increased summer sales. An increase in marketing will create awareness of these cool summer drinks and sales will continue to rise.



BEANER’S specializes in gourmet coffee and fine teas. The gourmet coffee house features more than 30 specialty coffee, tea and frozen drinks. Each day, the store brews six special coffees, and carries a broad selection of pastries, fruit, soups and sandwiches.
