Baker Bros Deli Opens Las Vegas, Nevada Location

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (Tuesday, November 22, 2005) - Baker Bros American Deli, a fast-casual concept headquartered in Dallas, has opened its first franchised location in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 22, 2005.

The restaurant - located at 7865 W. Sahara Blvd in the Sahara/Hart shopping center- is owned by Micatrotto Restaurant Group, multi-unit franchisees of Baker Bros. “The Micatrotto Restaurant Group sought to find a concept in line with our values as well as our taste buds and Baker Bros is that concept” said Justin Micatrotto, Director of Operations for MRG. “Las Vegas is a fantastic launching point for Baker Bros and MRG as we continue in the Southwest and beyond. We feel fortunate to have selected a great first location and already have others in the mix, so stay tuned!”

Baker Bros is an upscale, fast-casual deli featuring Specialty Sandwiches, Specialty Salads, Gourmet Pizzas and more. All entrees are prepared fresh to order using the freshest available breads, ingredients and produce. The restaurants typically operate in high visibility strip centers and occupy 2500-3500 SF with seating for 120-160.

Founded in 1999 by Ken Reimer and Tom Dahl, two well-respected industry veterans, Baker Bros currently operates six company stores and one franchised store in Dallas, Texas with eight more franchised stores open or in development in Las Vegas, Nevada and East Texas. In addition Baker Bros expects to open two more company stores by early 2006. Baker Bros expects to ink several more agreements by Spring 2006.
