Rent-a-wreck Reports Internet Reservations And Call Volume Increases For Summer 2005Company Upgrades Voice Response Dealer Locator System

Rent-A-Wreck of America is pleased to report that it has seen a 46% increase in call volume and a 67% increase in internet reservations when comparing May, June and July of 2005 to 2004. In an effort to parlay the increased customer traffic into even more business for its network of independently owned and operated dealers, the company last week upgraded its automated dealer locater telephone system to more efficiently handle inbound calls to the companys advertised toll-free numbers. The new system uses a sophisticated custom designed voice recognition vocabulary that allows customers to search for a location by speaking the name of the state and city where they need to rent their vehicle, eliminating the need in the previous system for a customer to enter a zip code.
