Avalar Real Estate & Mortgage Enters Austin Market

AUSTIN, TEXAS (Monday, March 21, 2005) - Roger Sturgell, current chairman of the Austin Board of Realtors, announced today that heand business partners Chey and David Hollowell are launching Avalar Real Estate and Mortgage Network in Texas. Their initial focus will be in Austin, with plans to take this unique model statewide later this year.

Avalar Austin will create an agent-driven environment that empowers its workforce through independence and long-termfinancial stability. The company will utilize a proprietary web-based Contact Relationship Management System developed exclusively for Avalar by Links MarCom to increase individual agent productivity. The System provides ongoing training, marketing tools, and other unique features, allowing agents to increase the level of customer service that they provide.

“We are very excited about The Avalar System and the great service it will allow our agents to provide Austin real estate customers,” said Sturgell, regional manager for Central Texas. “Combined with our agent-driven environment, the Avalar System will truly enable our agents to spend more time on what they do best – working directly with qualified real estate buyers and sellers.”

Ms. Hollowell continues, “The tools that we provide will make agents more effective and efficient in serving their clients’ needs, allowing them to earn more income immediately. At the same time, under the Avalar System, every agent and full-time staff member participates in a revenue-sharing program. This allows them to create a long-term residual income and a viable retirement strategy for their career.”

Currently, Avalar Austin’s agents work from offices in Northwest Austin, at 183 and Spicewood Springs. In April, a second office is scheduled to open in Westlake Hills. Plans are to add a third office in Central Austin within the next 90 days.

“Our goal is to make the Avalar name synonymous with outstanding customer service to Austinites looking to buy or sell a home,” said Mr. Hollowell, managing partner. “This is the first of this type of real estate franchise in the state and I believe it will change the way agents look at their businesses.”

Sturgell brings more than 25 years of real estate experience to Avalar Texas. Most recently he was the chief operating office for a RE/MAX office of more than 38 agents. Ms. Hollowell, an attorney, has served as in-house counsel to a real estate investment and syndication firm and has consulted with

individual realtors in developing and implementing marketing programs targeting investors. Mr. Hollowell has an extensive background in real estate consulting and investment. His marketing consulting firm has worked with some of the leading agents in the nation, gaining nationalrecognition for innovative personal promotion campaigns and materials.
