Todd Mcdougald Opens A New Merlin Muffler & Brake Shop In Alpharetta, Georgia

GENEVA , IL (Thursday, February 17, 2005) - Mr. Todd McDougald became Merlin's newest franchisee and opened the new Merlin Muffler & Brake Shop franchise located at 540 North Main Street, Alpharetta, Georgia 30004 (phone no. 770-442-1500).

Mr. McDougald's automotive career spans 16 years and includes accounting and management positions ranging from Parts Inventory Controller to Parts and Service Director. In 1987 he joined Banner Ford as Parts Inventory Controller. Subsequently, Mr. McDougald was promoted to Fixed Operations Manager where his accomplishments included increasing gross profit by as much as 25% and fixed operations sales by as much as 20%. While he was Parts and Service Director with Main Street Auto Group, the dealership received Chrysler's "Five Star" rating. Additionally, Mr. McDougald created and implemented a technician apprentice program. Later, he held the position of Parts and Service Director at Lou Sobh Ford and helped the dealership achieve Ford's "Blue Oval" status. Prior to joining Merlin's and since December 2001, Mr. McDougald help the position of Parts and Service Director at a Mazda dealership in suburban Atlanta.

A participant in Merlin's FASTRAK program, Mr. McDougald qualified for equity assistance which helped facilitate his Merlin business acquisition.
