Handyman Connection Names Another Colorado Springs Handyman "international Craftsman Of The Year"

Award Reflects Outstanding Customer Satisfaction

COLORADO SPRINGS (Friday, April 15, 2005) - Handyman Connection, the nation's leading provider of home improvement and remodeling services, recently named Mickey Clark of Colorado Springs, Colorado the company's 2004 "International Craftsman of the Year." Clark was chosen for the award from among more than 4,000 Handyman Connection network craftsmen throughout the United States and Canada. The award was won last year by another Colorado Springs craftsman, John Thompson.

"Mickey Clark represents the very best of what Handyman Connection is all about," says Keith Hahn, Handyman Connection's vice president and chief operating officer. "He was a natural for the award this year because his work is outstanding, he's easy to work with and customers love him."

The Handyman Connection International Craftsman of the Year distinction is awarded based on a number of factors, including customer referral letters, quality of work performed, volume of Handyman Connection work performed, professional attitude and more. The review committee also considers the craftsman's commitment to his/her community, reviewing the individual's local charitable activity and civic involvement. To be considered for the award, a craftsman must perform at least eight jobs a month for Handyman Connection customers and must perform at least 98 percent of that work without call-backs (Clark had no call backs at all ).

A multi-skilled craftsman, Clark joined Handyman Connection's network of contractors through its Colorado Springs franchise in 2003. As a Handyman Connection craftsman, Clark has been repeatedly praised by customers for his outstanding attention to detail, the quality of his work, his ability to creatively overcome jobsite challenges and his personal courtesy and attention to homeowners. One Handyman Connection customer described Clark in 2004 as, "…one of those rare professionals who make it a win-win for your company and its customers."

"Mickey is the kind of person every homeowner wants to hire for home repair work," says Steve McCoy, co-owner of Handyman Connection's Colorado Springs franchise. "His outstanding workmanship and professionalism have been great assets to our local operation, and we're proud to have Mickey on board."

Handyman Connection customers echo McCoy's assessments. During the nomination and review process for the International Craftsman of the Year Award, the review committee received copies of more than 20 letters of praise sent by Clark's customers in 2003.

"The homeowners who have been served by Mickey clearly understand he is very special, and they obviously appreciate Handyman Connection's commitment to continue adding more people like Mickey to its network of craftsmen," Hahn adds.
