Naomi Searcy Wins National Marketing Award

Local Business Owner Wins National Sales Award

LIVONIA, MICHIGAN (Thursday, August 05, 2004) - Naomi Searcy, Women’s Health Boutique owner in Livonia, was recognized as the winner of the Best Marketing Plan at an annual conference hosted recently by the franchise parent company, the International Center for Entrepreneurial Development.

Naomi set a goal this year to dedicate herself to “three” things: marketing, marketing and marketing. She created a detailed 12-month plan focusing on networking, direct sales and providing outstanding service that led to great “word of mouth” results. Naomi even started her own “little radio talk show” to educate the public about the wonderful mission of Women’s Health Boutique. “I don’t have to sell my products, they sell themselves,” says Searcy. “I just needed to build strong customer relations.”

Searcy opened her Women’s Health Boutique in Livonia in May 2000. She competed against a nationwide network of Women’s Health Boutique owners to win this top award.

This annual conference, dubbed the All-Star Education Summit, ICED’s second and largest education event of 2004, took place in July in The Woodlands, just north of Houston. Through workshops, round tables and panel discussions, center owners were privy to the latest in advertising and sales, marketing, database management, accounting, finances and center management. In addition, the ICED tradeshow featured an array of vendors who displayed their newest equipment and technology.
