Dickey's Barbecue Pit Franchise On Expansion Fast Track!
One of the nation's fastest growing restaurant chains expands into new markets!
DALLAS , TX (Tuesday, February 22, 2005) -
Dickey's Barbecue Pit is expanding outside of their Dallas-based home. By the end of 2005, the family-owned company plans to have 20 or more freestanding or end cap locations in markets across Texas . Expansion plans include Dallas , Fort Worth , Houston and Bryan-College Station.
"We are delighted with our current growth pattern," said Roland Dickey, Jr., vice president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants Inc. "Our most recent opening in Fort Worth , the first of four openings in that city, was extremely successful.
Dickey's Barbecue Pit Restaurants has been recognized by the industry as one of the nation's fastest growing barbecue restaurant chains offering homemade barbecue derived from over 60 years of perfecting the Dickey family recipes.
"Dickey's is committed to providing our communities with a popular fast-casual dining experience, in our ongoing mission to assure that Dickey's Barbecue Pit locations is one of the most desirable barbecue destinations," Dickey said.
The expansion will also include the new restaurant design. (photo attached) The new prototype clears 3,000 square feet (rather than the recently used 4,000 square foot model). Land usage for the new model is also more efficient. "Our new model utilizes 30,000 square feet of dirt instead of 40,000, that saves us 25% on the cost of real estate, which by far is our largest expense," Dickey said.
