Being a Hero Pays Off at Filtafry
ORLANDO (Thursday, August 25, 2005) -
As active participants of the VETFRAN program, FiltaFry is independently expanding this worthwhile initiative to extend outward to other heroes from the public service sector including Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Coast Guard, Paramedics and other service personnel. In line with the ethics of the VETFRAN program, Filta will be offering a generous financial discount of a full 10% off the territory fee to qualified applicants.
Since 9-11, it has become increasingly clear that veterans are not the only group responsible for saving and protecting lives. Police Officers, Fire Fighters and other heroes risk their lives on a daily basis to serve our country. Filta believes that potential franchise owners from these backgrounds possess the key qualities such as courage; determination and the ability to follow a system of operation align perfectly with the qualities they look for in its new franchisees. In appreciation for their heroic acts, FiltaFry offers these individuals the opportunity to become business owners at a reduced rate.
FiltaFry specializes in mobile, onsite maintenance of deep fryers in restaurants and commercial kitchens through a comprehensive fryer management program that includes micro-filtration of cooking oil, thermostat calibration, vacuum-based cleaning of deep fryers and operations guidance.
Since it began franchising in the United States in 2002, FiltaFrys popularity has been red-hot and it has quickly grown to 80 franchise locations in 32 states. With a rapidly growing list of more than 1,500 customers nationwide including well-known hotel and restaurant brands, bars, airports, hospitals, schools, sports stadiums and casinos, FiltaFry is adding an average of eight to 12 new franchisees each month. FiltraFry expects to have 170 U.S. franchisees by the end of 2005 and its long-term goal is to have 1,000 franchisees nationwide.
Whats even more intriguing about FiltaFrys potential is that it is the only service provider and franchisor of its kind in the United States. FiltaFry already operates in the United Kingdom, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Panama and several other countries. Major brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays and Applebees use FiltaFry in various markets and FiltaFry recently signed a national service contract with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Most FiltaFry franchisees operate as a home-based business and the required initial investment of approximately $67,350 to $75,100 is modest. About 60 percent of FiltaFry franchisees are owner-operators while the remainder employs technicians to handle service calls. Restaurant experience is not necessary and franchisees come from a variety of backgrounds including firemen, chefs, real estate agents and military personnel.
