FRIENDLY'S OPENS RESTAURANT IN NEW MILFORD, CONNECTICUT

New restaurant to serve delicious burgers, melts and ice cream creations

WILBRAHAM, MA (Wednesday, November 23, 2005) - Friendly's Restaurants announced today that it will be opening a new restaurant in New Milford, Connecticut located at 108 Danbury Road. The restaurant will open on Monday, November 21, 2005.
The new restaurant will have an ice cream theme, including "Spumoni" and "Rocky Road" lighting, "Mocha" booths and "Chocolate and Vanilla" tile. The restaurant will also feature a counter area. Guests at the New Milford Friendly's can enjoy some old-time Friendly's favorites like Big Beefs® and Fribbles® or try one of the new entrees - Southwest BBQ Steak or Grilled Chicken Teriyaki. Guests can also indulge in a sundae made with the new featured ice cream flavor - Mint Mudslide.

"The new décor in our restaurants is very warm and inviting. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where our guests can recall favorite memories and create new ones. We want them to feel comfortable while they are enjoying our delicious food and ice cream treats," said Pete Bell, Vice President, Marketing.

The 4,000 square foot restaurant has 158 seats. The hours of operation will be 6:00 am to 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 6:00 am to 12:00 am Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will employ 115 full and part-time people. Girard Gibson, a 30-year veteran of the restaurant industry, will manage the restaurant.
