Qdoba Mexican Grill Wins Technology Award

Hospitality Technology magazine honors Qdoba with Breakthrough Award for Productivity and Efficiency

DENVER (Tuesday, October 18, 2005) - Qdoba Mexican Grill has been named the 2005 winner of the Hospitality Technology Breakthrough Award for Productivity and Efficiency. The award was presented to Bill McMillan, vice president of information technology for Qdoba Mexican Grill, at the Hospitality Technology magazine’s Restaurant Executive Summit on October 6 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.

Qdoba won the award based on the company’s ability to maintain a lean and consistent operational system while continually striving for growth. Qdoba, which is approaching 250 locations in 30 states, has maintained consistent communication across the organization through its information technology infrastructure. Qdoba was selected from more than 50 companies, which were nominated by Hospitality Technology’s editorial staff.

The inaugural awards focused on companies that drove their business both technologically and innovatively and that are on the brink of breaking through to the next level. Organizations were awarded in one of four categories; workforce management, branding, productivity and efficiency, and winning with service.
