Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops Celebrates Grand Opening of Newest Location in Aurora

Grand-opening celebration planned for Saturday, October 15

CHAMPAIGN, ILL. (Wednesday, October 05, 2005) - Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops will mark the opening of its newest location in Aurora, Ill., by holding a grand-opening celebration on Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is located at 1480 N. Orchard Road, which is next to Starbucks.

During the four-hour event, Jimmy John's will be selling its award-winning subs for $1.50. Also, Jimmy John's gift certificates and a TV/DVD player combo will be given away during a drawing.

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops is unlike any sub shop in the industry; no games or gimmicks, just old-fashioned, homemade sandwiches made from fresh-baked bread, all-natural meats and vegetables that are sliced daily at each restaurant.

Hugo Rivas, along with 18 employees, manage the 40-seat restaurant. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, the restaurant delivers to the immediate area and accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club.

Steven French of Spree Inc. owns and operates the Jimmy John's location. This is his second store, with plans to open another location in Aurora near the Waubonsee Community College.
