Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops Makes Rapid City Debut

Grand-opening celebration planned for Saturday, October 15

CHAMPAIGN, ILL. (Tuesday, October 11, 2005) - Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops is celebrating its Rapid City, S.D., debut by throwing a grand-opening party on Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is located at 615 Mountain View Road, which is in the Baken Park Shopping Center.

During the four-hour event, Jimmy John's will be selling its award-winning subs (#1 through #6) and Plain Sims for $1.50. In addition, two I-Pod shuffles and an I-Pod Nano will be given away in a drawing.

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops is unlike any sub shop in the industry; no games or gimmicks, just old-fashioned, homemade sandwiches made from fresh-baked bread, all-natural meats and vegetables that are sliced daily at each restaurant.

Managed by Don Dillon, the 44-seat restaurant has 25 employees. The store is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Also, the store delivers to the immediate area and accepts all major credit cards.

Caleb Olson, Gabe Olson, Robert Olson and Mary Olson of Sublime Sandwiches Inc own and operate the Jimmy John's restaurant. The group plans to open additional stores in Rapid City.
