Auntie Anne's signs seven-year agreement to be Corporate Partner of the Team

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Thursday, July 31, 2003) - The Philadelphia Eagles are proud to announce a new, multiyear partnership with Auntie Anne’s Hand-Rolled Soft Pretzels®, who will be a Corporate Partner of the Team. The agreement, effective June 2003, establishes Auntie Anne’s as the “Preferred Pretzel of the Philadelphia Eagles.”

Auntie Anne’s will enjoy a dominant presence with the Eagles in the soft pretzels business category. As such, Auntie Anne’s will receive, among other things:

Signage at Lincoln Financial Field
Eagles television and radio advertising
Community tie-ins with donations to Eagles Youth Partnership
Store promotions for Eagles fans at participating Auntie Anne’s locations
Crew incentives at Eagles games and other stadium events for store personnel
Use of Eagles trademarks and entitlement of an in-game promotion called the “Auntie Anne’s Kickoff Kid”
Eagles fans who visit participating Auntie Anne’s locations across the Greater Philadelphia Area will find special savings on pretzels and beverages. In addition, they will have the chance to enter their children (between the ages of 5 and 13) in a drawing to be the official “Auntie Anne’s Kickoff Kid” at an Eagles home game. The winner’s child, one per game, will retrieve the kicking tee after the Eagles kick-off. The rest of the prize package includes: two Club Seats, a replica of an Eagles jersey, an autographed football, a kicking tee, an Auntie Anne’s hat, and Auntie Anne’s gift certificates.

Beginning in 2004 and continuing throughout the seven-year partnership, Auntie Anne’s will also support the Eagles charitable wing, Eagles Youth Partnership. Through its fundraising efforts with the Auntie Anne’s at Home® Pretzel Kits, the Company will donate a portion of the proceeds.

Construction of the stadium began in June 2001. Although financed by a public/private partnership, the Philadelphia Eagles ownership, through its contribution of $350 million, will be contributing the bulk of the financing.
