Auntie Anne's Gift Certificates Go Plastic

Nationwide Launch of Gift Card Program Set for October

GAP, PENNSYLVANIA (Tuesday, September 28, 2004) - Just in time for the holiday buying season, Auntie Anne’s makes plastic gift cards available nationwide. The Auntie Anne’s Card will offer customers the ability to purchase plastic, reloadable gift cards at any domestic location beginning next month.

The Auntie Anne’s Card is designed to immediately replace the sale of paper gift certificates, however, all Auntie Anne’s locations will still honor paper certificates until their expiration date. Resembling the shape of a credit card, customers who purchase the Auntie Anne’s Card have the opportunity to dictate the value amount of the card. In addition, those possessing a card will also have the opportunity to re-charge it in any dollar increment they chose, at any location across the country.

"We see the Auntie Anne's Card as a great gift, but we also realize that many will want to purchase cards for their own use," said Sam Beiler, President of Auntie Anne's, Inc. "We are becoming a cashless society, and the Auntie Anne's Card gives our customers the payment convenience they expect."

Auntie Anne’s, Inc. is a Pennsylvania-based franchisor that supports over 800 Auntie Anne’s Hand-Rolled Soft Pretzels® locations in 43 states and 12 international territories. Founded in 1988, Auntie Anne’s is committed to providing customers with premium products, in a sparkling clean store, with friendly customer service.
