Meineke Car Care Center Signs George Foreman for Five More Years

CHARLOTTE, NC (Wednesday, March 10, 2004) - Meineke Car Care Centers, Inc., has announced that George Foreman, former heavyweight boxing champion and popular Meineke spokesman, has agreed to renew his contract to represent Meineke for the next five years. Foreman has served as spokesman for the Charlotte, NC-based automotive repair franchise for more than 10 years. His new contract will cement that relationship through 2010.

"In the years that George has represented our company, his reputation among consumers for integrity, trust and believability has only grown," commented Kenneth D. Walker, President and CEO of Meineke Car Care Centers, Inc. "Those qualities resonate strongly with our customers. For nearly a third of our company’s existence, George has represented us and I’m extremely pleased to have him in our corner for some time to come."

From his home in Houston, Foreman stated, "Meineke was one of the first companies to offer me an endorsement deal, back before I regained the heavyweight title in 1994. Over the last ten years working with Meineke, I’ve come to know and respect many of their dealers and believe that they represent true American entrepreneurs. I appreciate their continuing faith in me."

In addition to his appearances in Meineke TV, radio and print promotions, Foreman attends the company’s dealer conventions. His contract renewal was signed during a ceremony at the Meineke International Convention in Orlando on February 23rd. He also has visited children’s hospitals and schools on behalf of Children’s Miracle Network, for which Meineke is a sponsor.
