Hot Stuff Pizza Named as Top 50 QSR Concept

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Tuesday, September 06, 2005) - Hot Stuff Pizza® has been named as one of QSR Magazine’s Top 50 quick-serve restaurants. The prestigious list is a first for the company according to (parent Hot Stuff Foods™) President and CEO, Des Hague, who points out Hot Stuff’s inclusion “reinforces our legitimacy as one of the top “restaurants” in the country.”

“49 out of the 50 QSRs listed,” reported Hague, “are free-standing restaurant concepts. Hot Stuff Pizza® is the only player who focuses exclusively on providing food solutions to outlets such as convenience stores, colleges, military bases, recreation and other non-traditional locations. Other national brands on the list sell franchises to these types of locations, but none are 100% committed to serving this unique customer, nor do any have the deep history in the c-store channel."

Hague also emphasized that Hot Stuff’s unique niche clearly put Hot Stuff Pizza® as one of the leaders in unit growth. Only 7 other QSRs on the list had more locations thanHot Stuff Pizza’s® 1,596 units, which Hague reports has been added to since the magazine’s research and currently tops over 1,600 franchised units worldwide. In 2005 alone, Hague reported, the company had opened or upgraded over 350 units.

"Our tremendous growth," Hague observed, "is really acombination of our niche focus, the dedication of the franchiseeand the customer's growing receptiveness to restaurant quality food in a high traffic non-traditional foodservice environment. This year, this team efforthas propelled Hot Stuff's ability to open and/or upgradea Hot Stuff Pizza® unitevery 16 hourson average.

Hague pointed out that over the past couple of years Hot Stuff Foods™ has continued to focus on developing space efficient franchise friendly formats that can easily fit into the limited space that non-traditional operations have available.

“Our Hot Stuff Food Xpress™ units for example, “reported Hague, “can fit in as little as 50 square feet.”

Hague noted that two critical components of Hot Stuff’s success and that of their franchisees has been the company’s efforts to meet the growing demand of grab-n-go food, as well as reduce the amount of costly labor associated with providing quality food solutions.

“Both our Hot Stuff Food Xpress™ and Hot Stuff Food on the Go™ units are designed primarily for the grab-n-go customer,” noted Hague, “Our Good to Go Eats™ menu line offers a varied selection of pizza and other products that can be eaten on the run, in the car and in a hurry. These concepts and others are enhanced by our rapid cook technology and proprietary formulations for thaw-n-serve and thaw-n-heat items. Our new Hot Stuff Foods Market Selects™ gourmet sandwiches for example, which are in over 1000 Hot Stuff Pizza® locations, provides the customer with restaurant quality food without restaurant quantity labor costs.” Add the fact that each Hot Stuff Pizza® location is designed to offer multi-day-part or what Hague calls “24/7 food solutions,” and Hague will tell you it’s all part of Hot Stuff Foods™ corporate philosophy of “Creating Value…Every Day!SM”

Hot Stuff Foods™ franchises and/or licenses its branded food concepts in over 1600 locations throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Asia.
