GNC Adds Bronson Arroyo to Team Pro Performance®

PITTSBURGH, PA (Tuesday, May 10, 2005) - General Nutrition Centers, Inc. (GNC), the nation’s largest specialty retailer of nutritional supplements, announced today that Major League Baseball pitcher Bronson Arroyo is the latest professional athlete to join GNC’s Team Pro Performance®, an elite group of athletes that use Pro Performance sports nutrition products as an integral part of their training. Arroyo joins Major League Baseball All-Star pitcher Mark Mulder, who is the lead member of Team Pro Performance and Tim Salmon, an outfielder and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Angels at Anaheim, in the effort to promote safe supplementation to today’s young athletes.

Arroyo is a starting pitcher on the World Champion Boston Red Sox.
