InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Invites Future Brides and Grooms to Enjoy Honeymoons on the House

Popular promotion extended through December 31, 2006

ATLANTA, GA (Monday, February 21, 2005) - In the spirit of love and all things romantic, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is extending its very successful Honeymoons on Us promotion through 2006. Couples who book their reception at a North American InterContinental hotel now through Dec. 31, 2006, will receive a complimentary honeymoon also at any InterContinental property in North America.

With the average honeymoon costing $3,300, the opportunity helps many maximize their budgets. Couples who spend $15,000 on hotel-related expenses (not including taxes and gratuity) receive a three-night honeymoon. Those who spend $20,000 get a five-night honeymoon; and spending $25,000 or more earns seven nights at the hotel of their choice. Honeymoons are subject to blackout dates and availability.


Couples can head to romantic destinations such as:


The Presidente InterContinental Cozumel, where couples can enjoy long walks along the radiant white beaches of the Yucatan Peninsula and a traditional Mayan steam bath for two a the newly opened Serenity Spa.

The InterContinental Montreal, where the bride and groom can enjoy a romantic horse-and-buggy ride through the charming streets of Old Montreal.





The InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco where newlyweds can sip champagne atop the historic Top of the Mark sky lounge while watching a beautiful bay-area sunset.

Since the promotion began in January 2004, more than 175 couples have taken advantage of the program.
