"We believe that Korean language education will be a key part of helping Korean-American students play important roles in America society. It is no surprise to learn that recently, there has been a substantial increase in students studying Korean. Daekyo is proud to be one of the main supporters of Korean language education," said Sang Hoon Woo, the Chief Executive Officer of Daekyo America.
E.nopi KOREAN, published by Daekyo is being used as a Korean textbook in schools and public institutions. During the last three months, more than 3,000 students began to learn Korean using E.nopi KOREAN.
Recently, Daekyo America was pleased to provide E.nopi KOREAN to Third Street Elementary School and Wilton Place Elementary School, which have the highest number of Korean students in Los Angeles.
E.nopi KOREAN is already used as a textbook by three schools in the Torrance Unified School District, Stuyvesant High School in New York and Bronx Science High School in New Jersey.
In addition, Daekyo America's ongoing Korean education seminars for Korean teachers help to increase interest in Korean language and culture. Daekyo America is also preparing to hold seminars for parents to inform them about the importance of Korean language education and introduce them to Daekyo America's studying materials.
"We will actively support Korean language education in the schools and public institutions to help maintain Korean cultural identity and promote the study of the Korean language," said Mr. Woo.
