Quiznos’ New Cabo™ Chicken Sub Keeps the Fresh Taste of Summer Alive

DENVER, CO (Wednesday, September 14, 2005) - To help its summer-loving customers overcome the post-Labor Day blues, Quiznos announced the arrival of a little taste of summer – its all-new Cabo™ Chicken Sub. “While summer isn’t officially over, for many it’s time to get back to work and school. One bite of this Pacific Coast inspired taste sensation, however, and you’ll think you’re back on the beach,” said Chief Concept Officer Tom Ryan. Featuring chef-inspired recipes and the fresh ingredients that are a hallmark of Quiznos, this tasty sandwich is making its debut in stores across the country starting this week.


The Cabo™ Chicken Sub features deli-style oven roasted chicken, smoky bacon, melted cheddar, guacamole, sliced tomatoes, and fresh spring mix – all topped with mild chipotle mayo. And, unlike ordinary sub sandwiches, all Quiznos subs are toasted on Quiznos’ own artisan signature breads and are made from the finest quality ingredients. This exciting new sub will be available in small, medium and large and priced, at participating locations, at $2.99, $4.99 and $6.99.

In keeping with the Pacific Coast outdoor theme, Quiznos’ advertising campaign for the new CABO sandwich features three-time reigning, surfing world champion Andy Irons and Holly McPeak, three-time Olympian, pro-beach volleyball player with 72 career titles -- both in separate ads along with Quiznos advertising spokesperson Baby Bob.
