Burger King Corporation Names Robert Levite Vice President, Field Marketing North America
MIAMI, FL (Friday, November 11, 2005) -
Burger King Corporation today announced the appointment of veteran marketer Robert Levite as vice president, field marketing North America. In this capacity, Levite will be responsible for providing brand leadership, improving marketing execution and driving guest satisfaction in more than 8,000 restaurants in the United States and Canada. Levite will report to Russ Klein, Burger King Corporations executive vice president and chief global marketing officer.
Bob is a highly respected professional and an accomplished, versatile marketer with more than 30 years in the restaurant industry, said Klein. His ability to build successful programs and teams will help develop a marketing line-up that will resonate with our franchisee community, our guests and, ultimately, drive results for the BURGER KINGŪ system.
Most recently, Levite was senior vice president of marketing for Wendys International, responsible for the brand marketing, media, creative services and international marketing functions in the United States and Canada. During his tenure there, he led the development of the annual marketing calendar and directed new product strategy and development.
Prior to Wendys, Levite was the general manager, senior vice president of Bates USA, one of the largest advertising agencies in the world, where we was part of the leadership team that created and introduced the Founders campaign, which was the longest-running advertising campaign in QSR history. He also initiated and implemented the clients first international merchandising program.
Before joining Bates USA, Levite held a variety of senior positions at the corporate and agency level, overseeing advertising, promotional and field execution efforts at such companies as Bojangles Fried Chicken, Host International and Red Lobster. Levite also worked at Burger King Corporation as a divisional marketing manager for three years.
This is a coming home event for Bob, said Klein. I believe he still has the diploma he earned from Whopper University.
Levite holds a bachelors degree in business administration from the Roosevelt University in Chicago, Ill., a degree in commercial photography and has had extensive professional business courses and seminars.
