Started in Houston in 1979 as Frame It, the company started franchising soon after it's founding and changed the name to Deck The Walls in 1983. Their target customers are primarily from mid to upper income households. Stores are located in regional malls, upscale shopping, lifestyle and mixed use centers.


Stores are highly computerized and automated. Our exclusive Visualize system allows the customer to see the finished project on a large screen monitor, even painting the wall behind the project the color of the wall in the customer's home. The stores specialize in custom framing and carry "ready to hang" art, unframed art, oil paintings, and home décor accessories. Each store offers computerized catalog shopping with virtually every piece of art still available displayed for special ordering.


Deck The Walls is a part of Franchise Concepts, Inc., which also includes The Great Frame Up and in Canada, Framing & Art Centre. Deck The Walls is honored to have eleven of our brands stores in the Décor Magazine top 100. Décor Magazine is the leading art and framing industry publication.
